As Connor would say, "All better!"

The house is all better - finally - after about a month of all kinds of stuff. Now, if all of Savannah's teeth would come in it would be great! She has been teething constantly since before Christmas. She has a full mouth of teeth - all of her top teeth and I think she lacks two of the bottom of having everything in but her 2 year molars.

I'm beginning to understand the concern a friend of mine had about her daughter not walking until she was 16 months old. Savannah still isn't walking - but she's just about 14 months old. It's hard not to have expectations for her when Connor walked at 11 1/2 months. She will walk all over the place if she's holding on to something. I guess she just doesn't have the confidence yet. I know she will walk when she's ready but I'm kind of ready for her to. She's getting heavy!! :-) She's learning a lot right now. She now knows a cow says "moo." When she's ready to go to bed she'll say "nigh, nigh" and start waving. She has learned to say "Please" in sign language and says "peas" while signing it. She usually does it when it comes to food - when she wants more and starts pointing to it. I'll ask her if she can say "More please" and she'll say and sign "peas." She has also learned to say "Shooey." Whenever I change and poopy diaper I'll say "shooey" and wave my hand in front of my nose. She now says it so clearly. She'll say "shooey" and wave her arm around. She LOVES books. When I get her and put her in my lap and grab books she can't stop smiling and starts bouncing. If she sees a book on the floor she'll crawl over to it and bring it to me and say "buh, buh" and want me to read it to her. She's not entirely happy just looking at them by herself. She would much rather be read to.

Connor is still like a little sponge soaking things up. He has learned how to count to five in Spanish. They are teaching them that at his school. They are also learning a little sign language like the alphabet. So he often asks me how to do a certain letter and I'll show him. He really wants to learn how to read and write. He has a few words he recognizes when he sees them. He does fairly good with his name about 1/2 the time. His "C" is usually backwards, he can make the "o"s you just never know what's going to show up for the "n"s. So, I am going to try to figure out how to help him learn how to read and write. I want to teach him all the things he wants to learn while he wants to learn them. I'd hate to miss this opportunity to teach him and then he decide he doesn't want to learn it. I just have no idea what I'm doing!! I'm sure it will be fun though! He's looking forward to doing schoolwork at home with Mommy.
