Hollywood....here we come

Ok - I had to choose the orange color for UT. We leave tomorrow for California to go to the UT vs UCLA game Monday night. It's going to be a fun trip. Saturday morning I'm going with my sister-in-law and a friend to get a massage. We'll also be taking a Hollywood Tour and at some point Danny and I are going to the Santa Monica Pier and also drive up the coastal highway. Monday night is the game and then we come home Tuesday. I'm real excited about going because it wil be a nice trip - doing things we've never done and we'll also be without kids. But, I'm starting to stress about leaving the kids - only because I've never left either one of them this long. It will basically be for 5 1/2 days. I'm telling myself that Savannah won't realized I'm gone - hoping it's true. I do'nt know though because a friend of mine left her daughter a few weeks ago and her daughter is a month older than Savannah. When she got back it was like her daugther was mad at her - didn't want to go to her, wouldn't look at her or play with her for a whole day. Of course, she was gone for 10 days. Savannah has become a Mommy's girl the past few weeks - whining when I leave the room or even just start walking away. So, we'll see how she fairs.

Connor is starting to get the concept of time so he's who I really worry about. He knows what tomorrow means and is starting to get a few days. I haven't told him that we won't be getting him for a few days. I hoping that not knowing will make it easier on him. We'll see. He's adjusted pretty well to preschool. He had been crying when I left him, but today he didn't....of course, I did sneak out so he didn't see me leave. :-) When he did cry it was usually just for a few minutes. He's always very happy when I pick him up. I just hope this trip doesn't set him back at preschool. He is loving school once he gets over me leaving. today, when we got home I told him after his nap Daddy would be home. He then said, "And then we go to school."

Pray for me this weekend that I don't stress too much about leaving the kids and that I can have fun. Oh, and pray that UT wins!! GO VOLS!!!!!! :-)
